QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science and other related field of IT and administration.
EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
Minimum 2 years of experience in same field or related field preferrable with an INGO
Cloud experience is preferred
Inventory system management skill
Ppriorities and manage many open cases at one time
Success Factor:
Problem solving skill and attention to details.
Maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of team members.
High level of communication, interpersonal skills to prepare and present reports and information,
Due to the nature of the work, priority will be given to Hasakah based candidate
Job Description:
The IT Officer provides assistance to management in IT and Telecommunication matters, including full development, maintenance, support, protect data and backup and any other deliverables in line with the aims of the Organization.
The IT industry is constantly changing so there is a need to keep up with developments. There is often a pressure to work as fast as possible to deal with problems and achieve immediate results in all situations, either to ensure the minimum loss of products or vender-contact time or to enable members of staff to use their computer again according to the organization’s policies.
The role reports to Senior IT Coordinator
Team members reporting to this post: N/A
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABLITY
Keep computer systems running smoothly through fixing any problems and follow up the new technology is used to ensure users get the maximum benefit.
Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications when and as needed
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks through network software & Hardware.
Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
Replace hardware parts when required
Provide support in documentation and relevant reports with other departments as per line manager’s approval
Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs if needed
Follow up with IT team for software license tracking, conduct assessment for development, provide training on new services, remote helpdesk
Managing and tracking logs Firewall in Northern Syria (NES)
Install and troubleshooting of cloud software & issues.
Helping the team members with technical issues as per line manager’s advice
Any other reasonably task as assigned by line manager
ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Covering for other IT team members when and as needed
Inventory asset management using BarScan system.
