- At least one-year relevant work experience in Infrastructure rehabilitation with an International Non-Government Organization (INGO) and/or Local NGO.
- 1-2 years experience in construction field and the targeted area.
- Bachelor’s/ diploma degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is a plus
- Experience in working in multi-cultural environments
- Exposure to northeast Syria programming a plus
- Experience is responding in emergencies.

الوصف الوظيفي:
The FSL Infrastructure Assistant will work under the direction and supervision of the FSL Infrastructure Officer. S/he will be responsible for supporting the implementation of small-scale rehabilitation work linked with Value Chain in North East Syria. S/he will need to regularly co-ordinate and communicate with Field Consultants in order to ensure the work effectiveness, day-to-day implementation of programs; and with other team members. S/he will also keep coordination with FSL team members working on Agriculture and livestock value chain.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow the prepared checklist of the rehabilitation and standards of items, and provides technical guidance, coaching/mentoring to consultants in the field.
- Supervise and monitor the daily activities of rehabilitation in the field and provide regular feedback to service contractors on site.
- Submit weekly report on the progress of the rehabilitation activities for each facility to Infrastructure Officer.
- Ensure that rehabilitation is taking place based on the agreed plan and standards.
- Ensure that rehabilitation is being implemented in a timely manner within the agreed timeframe
- Coordinate with MEAL dept to ensure that all rehabilitated facilities are physically accessible by the people with disabilities, and ensure monitoring of activities (as required). • Support Infrastructure Officer to prepare drawings, BoQs and all the technical aspects needed for infrastructure rehabilitation interventions
- Support Infrastructure assistant by conducting field measurements, site inspections and field assessments and ensuring that the collected information are detailed and correct.
- Under guidance from the FSL Infrastructure Officer, coordinate with all stakeholders on the ground to monitor the security situation and report back on any security concerns
- Under guidance from the FSL Infrastructure Officer, ensure that all FSL rehabilitated activities meet Minimum Standards and adhere to global Rehabilitation standards such as SPHERE standards, WHO guidelines, and other best practices
- Actively participate in data collection from local community, ensure transparency and accuracy of data at field level
- Use of developed and appropriate forms, tools and ToRs during assessment
- Organize community meetings at field level to understand the local needs.
