Job Requirements:

Education:

  • University degree in any related fields .

        Required Qualifications:

  • Must have more than 5 years working experience as humanitarian worker- preferably on similar responsibilities- with progressive increase in responsibilities and at least 2 years working experience managing teams
  • Must have previous experience working in humanitarian programs in the stipulated areas
  • Must have excellent management skills, leadership, knowing how to help team members, how to position yourself, how to simplify and prioritize
  • Must have pragmatic and have good abilities to adapt with agility.

Languages:

  • Must be fluent in professional English and Arabic. Kurdish will be highly appreciated.

Job Description:

       Project planning and implementation

  • Support the Ops Manager and PMs on weekly and monthly planning and implementation of project activities at base level
  • Formulate a monthly schedule for monitoring project activities in the stipulated areas and conduct monitoring field visits, in coordination with the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
  • Collaborate with other agencies on the ground and participate in coordination meetings on behalf of the organization
  • Ensure that cross department project coordination mechanisms are in place at base level
  • Participate in quarterly project review, networking meetings, etc.
  • Identify new potential partners and liaise on a regular basis with current partners
  • Analyse context developments in order to assist the Hub, Ops and Project Managers in the identification of needs gap / opportunities and contribute to proposal development
  • Facilitate donors’ visits .

       Documentation and reporting

  • Respond to request for information from Hub Manager, organization departments, and actively participate to the development of further project proposals based on emerging and identified needs
  • Provide monthly report to the Hub Manager
  • Contribute to donor reporting when needed
  • Responsible for reporting to relevant authorities when necessary

       HR management and administration

In collaboration with the HR department :

  • Ensure the recruitment processes at base level are carried out in a timely manner
  • Carry out day-to-day supervision of team members at base level
  • Promote high performance among teams through clear communication, coordination, and good working relationship among team members through regular base meetings, leadership and proactive management of issues and conflicts
  • Ensure staff and partners are well versed on organization’s Code of Conduct, accountability, and prevention of sexual exploitation, harassment and abuse policy and procedures.
  • Disciplinary issues are communicated to HR in a timely manner as per the organization’s policies and procedures.

       Logistics:

In close collaboration with the logistics department

  • Support the preparation of supply/procurement plans for project activities and coordinate with the Logistics department for their delivery to the field as per project planning.
  • Support the Logistics and HAS teams to manage all necessary transportation, documentation and travel arrangements for staff and visitors travelling to/from field locations.
  • Carry out follow-up and monitoring of logistic and supply planning activities.
  • Ensure the supervision of the logistics for organization premises at base level

Safety and Access:

In close collaboration with the HAS department and Hub Manager

  • Support the development of relevant SOPs and ensuring staff compliance with security management rules and procedures and security management of staff when in field.
  • Ensure the safety of the teams in the base
  • Support preparation and ensure capacities are sufficient in case of evacuation
  • Ensure organization has relevant authorizations to operate at base level
  • Support the HAS department to resolve safety and access issue

Finance :

In close collaboration with the Finance department

  • Prepare monthly cash forecast with all departments
  • Ensure procedures for cash are safely implemented
  • Random checks of cash count

Coordination and Representation

  • Maintain a positive image of the organization at all times and in all circumstances
  • Represent organization and advocate for organization program strategy within all kind of coordination meetings when needed
  • Representation of organization towards local authorities
  • Attend coordination meetings at base level
  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Hub Manager that is within the post-holder’s expertise and experience.

Note that this job description must remain flexible, to respond to additional tasks or changes as identified by the line manager.

We offer

We will offer the successful applicant a contract until 31st Dec 2022 , renewable dependent on both funding and performance.

Salary : 1577 $ in addition to compensations according to years of experience and status of the successful candidate.
