Job Requirements:

The position requires a university degree. The candidate should have at least 03 years of work experience focused on humanitarian assistance, relief or development work; experience with cash transfer programming a plus. Demonstrated direct experience with project design and implementation, monitoring and evaluation and donor reporting for humanitarian programming, ideally in a highly insecure context. The candidate should possess strong data management abilities and must have experience in implementing, designing or monitoring cash or livelihoods programs. Experience with emergency market mapping, value chain analysis, and other relevant market assessment tools is preferred. Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with a broad range of stakeholders in different geographic locations, experience with remote monitoring a plus. Proven capacity to work cooperatively with colleagues from other departments in a team environment, and to engage with and lead a diverse group of people. Good communication and coordination skills required. The applicant must be fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic. Must be proficient in MS Office especially advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint..

Job Description:

The Livelihoods Officer’s role, under the supervision of the Livelihoods Program Coordinator, is to support the management of organization’s North East Syria programme activities providing livelihoods assistance to conflict-affected communities, focusing especially on the successful implementation of the SRC Multi-Donor Fund in the field areas. The position holder will work closely with the broader Livelihoods team, Livelihoods Program Manager/Coordinator and others to ensure smooth, efficient and effective implementation of the programme. The Livelihoods Officer will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of livelihoods activities, in addition to monitoring, capacity development, analysis and reporting. The Livelihoods Officer will have strong engagement with all aspects of programme cycle, including assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring, capacity building of local NGO and CSO partners, reporting, and evaluation of the program and preparing periodic reports. The position also involves understanding how the collection of projects fits within organization’s grant and its wider strategy, with support and guidance from the Livelihoods Program Manager/Coordinator, and considering new opportunities for programming.
