Job Requirements:

Essential

  • University degree in Accounting, Business studies, Economics or related domain
  • Minimum three years’ professional experience in Cash Based interventions
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team
  • Proven experience in capacity building, coordinating activities, developing plans and drafting reports.
  • Demonstrated decision making skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to improving the lives of children in the school and community.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, and capacity to maintain relations with community leaders, community members, children and youth.
  • Strong understanding of the situation of children (girls and boys) in rural and urban communities
  • Excellent understanding of the complexity of local governance structures in NE Syria and other local stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel independently, including to rural communities and willingness to change work practices and hours and spend time in the field, sometimes in difficult conditions and with limited resources.
  • Strong Arabic skills, written and spoken. Good English skills, written and spoken, Kurdish is an add value
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, including Outlook for email).
  • Commitment to and understanding of Organization’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches children.

Job Description:

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Carry out day to day implementation of CTP activities in designated area.
  • In coordination with vocational training, Education, and CP teams and in line with selection criteria, register beneficiaries for assistance.
  • Update beneficiary data base with accurate information.
  • Organize cash/voucher distribution at field level.
  • Carry out community sensitization activities.
  • Carry out field level data collection for market assessments and any other assessments required.
  • Monitor day to day activities in the field.
  • Facilitate the provision of micro-grants for vocational training trainees in order to enable the ability to start-up businesses that will strengthen the households economically and enable them to retain their children in school beyond the lifespan of the project.
  • Supervise progress against grant work plan; promptly identifying any current or potential delays.
  • Ensure appropriate community messages are transferred to clients, local partners, vendors, non-clients, and other key actors
  • Ensure the conduct of beneficiary feedback and response mechanism (BFRM) activities are undertaken and also support MEAL team in handling the BFRM database.
  • Work with and provide timely technical support to the Organization’s implementing partners; maintain encouraging and constructive relations with partner staff.
  • Fully align with the Organization safety and security procedures and provide support to security monitoring and assessments to ensure a safe and secure environment for program implementation
  • Assist in training of the Organization or partner staff on cash transfer programming.
  • Assist Area Coordinator to prepare timely work plans for Cash-Based projects.
  • Promptly identify and recommend solutions to cash-based technical issues.
  • Provide timely inputs to Area Coordinator to prepare cash forecast.
  • Prepare and submit timely PR for procurements of program supplies.
  • S/he is responsible for monitoring, documenting, accounting and reporting the Project activities as directed by the Area Coordinator.
  • Ensure that you work to the best of your ability and demonstrate high levels of commitment to the Organization and our vision, mission and values in order to ensure the objectives of your role and the country programme are met
  • Ensure the effective and efficient use of all the organization resources in order to keep costs low and ensure safety in the workplace
  • Comply with the requirements of the Organization’s Child Safeguarding Policy to ensure maximum protection for children.

Coordination:

  • Coordinate with finance team, programe team, and local partners for project related activities.
  • Represent the Organization in a professional manner
  • Work closely with other departments at field level.

Reporting

  • Prepare and submit weekly activity progress reports.
  • Provide accurate and timely information for internal and donor reports.

 Partnership relations:

  • Maintain close and strong relations with partner organizations in the area of operations
