Job Requirements:

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:

  • Academic background: Bachelor’s degree in social science, statistics, information management, data management, evaluation, or other relevant fields. Master’s degree desirable.
  • Other qualifications: knowledge of gender, participatory approaches, cost-effectiveness. Good knowledge of donors’ requirements.
  • Language requirements: written and spoken English. Arabic and/or Kurdish is mandatory.
  • Computer requirements: Office pack user level.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 5 years field experience in humanitarian projects. At least 3 years’ experience in positions with similar responsibility in North East Syria.
  • Experience in program development, reporting, planning, implementation, and M&E.
  • Previous experience with health programming.
  • Demonstrable leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to work in volatile environments and strict compliance with security protocols
  • Proven skills in quantitative and qualitative analyses, with experience of collecting, organizing and analyzing data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present data and evidence in a user-friendly form

Job Description:

Program management:

  • Support Program Coordinator in Planning and coordinating the implementation of NES program and activities; in line with MdM and donor standards.
  • Assist program team in finalizing Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) for each Project and strictly follow up with the responsible team to achieve the agreed targets and complete the activities as per plan.
  • Assist Program Coordinator in conducting and reporting regular program related meetings, project kick-off and closure meetings, lesson learn etc.
  • Maintain indicators tracking sheets and follow the achievement of donors’ indicators as per agreed methodology with the concerned departments.
  • Ensure that contractual obligations (including visibility, protection, and environmental, requirements) and reporting deadlines are known and met by Programme, MEAL and operation team.
  • Work with the team on program quality improvement and learning initiatives and operationalize them in the field.

Proposal development:

  • Assist Program coordinator and other team members in proposal development, project amendment requests and required annexures. Contribute to addressing in a timely manner all comments by donors on proposals in liaison with relevant staff in the mission.
  • Maintain coordination with the team to ensure the required qualitative and quantitative data readily available for proposal development and request their input in the logframe development. (esp. formulation of SMART indicators).
  • Liaise with technical team and MEAL staff to draft the ToRs and conduct assessments required for proposal development.
  • Keep record of all internal and external assessment reports and do desk review for proposals development.

Report writing:

  • Follow the system for reporting management such as trackers, timelines, communications, and helping teams to build out their reporting systems, etc.
  • Assist program coordinator in compiling and drafting quality narrative donors’ report, reflecting the progress and status of projects in a transparent, timely and professional manner, in liaison with the team at field and coordination level.
  • Support program coordinator in the production of other internal and external reports such as situation reports, assessments / surveys reports, impact stories, lesson learns, evaluation reports, and ensuring timely inputs from program, and operations teams.
  • Work closely with field team and MEAL staff to document progress (qualitative and quantitative), process, learnings, challenges, and mitigations etc.
  • Closely work with MEAL and program staff to ensure quantitative and qualitative data (incl. data on input, process, output, outcome and impact indicators, lessons learnt and best practices) in the reports required for internal as well as donors’ reporting.
  • Ensure tracking and archiving of sources of verification and other project related documents required for reporting.
  • Any other related task assign by direct supervisor and Senior Management Team.
