Job Title: Logistics Officer

Duty Station: Raqqa with frequent travel to Deir eZ Zor
Job Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in procurement/logistics or equivalent.
- At least 2 years’ experience from working as a procurement& logistics officer in a humanitarian/recovery context;
- Experience with procurement &logistics procedures and regulations.
- Previous experience working in complex and volatile contexts
- Understanding of the operational context in NE Syria
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
- Fluency in English & Arabic, both written and verbal
Job Description:
- Manage local emergency stockpile and goods consolidation point in order to permit the rapid movement of program supplies.
- Design and implement warehouse management and commodity tracking system.
- Assist the program team to set the procurement plan for each project and implement it with the coordination with the senior field manager.
- Work with field staff to undertake the transport of commodities in an efficient safe way including reviewing required documents for completeness and correctness and facilitating timely support from relevant team members in BCRD.
- Assess existing logistics operations systems and advise on corrective measures to be undertaken.
- Design and implement proper tools to manage the fleet of the cars ensuring transport policies are being followed in BCRD offices in NES.
- Carry out all procurement activities based on the approved budgets and applied policies.
- All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Job Summary:
Supported by the Operations Manager, the Logistics Officer will be responsible for all logistics activities in NES office of BCRD, besides prepare all Procurement Request, following the implementation of all procurement plan of BCRD Office in NE Syria.
