Job Requirements:

Essential :

  • 2 Years experience in database management
  • Preferable graduation certificate in computer science or computer engineering or other relevant university degree
  • Previous experience working in humanitarian or development programmes; or research experience in NES
  • Previous relevant experience, such as data collection, data analysis, research or reporting
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Statistical program (PowerBI, Microsoft Access, SPSS,IMPACT,etc)
  • High attention to detail
  • Fluent English , both spoken and written
  • The capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult working circumstances.
  • Ability to work effectively and calmly in a high-pressure environment and to prioritize and effectively manage assignments in a timely fashion
  • Commitment to the aims and principles of the organization . (In particular, a good understanding of the organization mandate and child focus and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin our work)

Desirable

  • Previous experience working on monitoring or data management in humanitarian programs

Job Description:

Enter Child Protection, education, Hygiene ,WASH,FSL Data , Consolidate and clean databases including activity trackers, attendance sheets and other programme trackers used within the area.

– Intensively field monitoring visits as appropriate to ensure data collection (disaggregation of data, filling up of attendance sheet) is done properly

– Ensures that information from the field is complete and submitted in a timely manner by C&R Program officers.

– Support in data collection of surveys (including baselines and end lines and RNAs), monitoring tools and processes (for example, post distribution monitoring, Focus Group Discussions, exit interviews and other quantitative and qualitative tools).

– Support C&R Program officers with Data Collection Process.

– Ensure proper filing of documents in both hard and soft copies, also having backup for all soft copies .

-Assess and train the supervisors of the CFSs and Hyg promotion team on the filling of the attendance records and using tools (Kobo,ODK …. ).

-Train programme staff on attendance sheets, activity trackers and other relevant tools; regular field visits to ensure tools are used appropriately.

– Regular Field Monitoring Visits and conduct periodic service records register review to ensure data flow and all data of attendance sheets or tools on the ground are in line with the organisation protocols and system.

– Support MEAL officer/ assistant monitoring data quality (e.g. validity, reliability, precision) through data audits and checks

-Support adherence to the minimum standards of humanitarian relief in accordance with the Sphere Charter and Red Cross Code of Conduct.

– Comply with the organization policies and practice with respect to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.

– Maintain proper data security by preserving all relevant documents in existing file formats.

– Ensure that the organization data management policy is followed in ensuring that data is safe, secure and protected.
