Duty Station: Raqqa based with 50% Travel to Filed Offices

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, social sciences, human rights, project management or other related field. Minimum of 1 year work experience in project implementation, preferably with an international organization.

Experience implementing programming in Raqqa City is preferred. Strong understanding of the conflict dynamics in Raqqa City.

Experience working in a multi-organizational team (international and national partners). Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members. Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.

Strong written and oral communication skills in English required, including report development, writing, and editing. Organizational and time management skills.

Willingness to travel in and out of field. Strong understanding of the project management cycle.         

Job Description:

The Social Cohesion Project Assistant (CSSF) will support program officers in reviewing documents, reviewing payment process, narrative reports, and supporting documents.

Support the partners through conducting regular visits to ensure the smooth implementation of the activities.

Carry out a mapping of social cohesion and civil society organizations in Raqqa and Deir Ezzor or Hassakah to contribute to and complement the CSSF programming.

Participate in community level data collection and documentation in support of the program’s monitoring, evaluation, and learning; including the documentation of impact/success stories and photos relevant to activities implemented.

Prepare weekly program progress reports for the social cohesion team.

Organize and participate in the facilitation of meetings/workshops/trainings to help increase the capacity partners to implement Social Cohesion programs.

Keep up to date with all contextual changes and the impact on current future projects.

Integrate community approaches, gender sensitivity and capacity building into all activities as appropriate.
