Job Requirements:
Essential
- University degree in Economics/ Business Management or another relevant domain;
- Experience in providing support and professional advice to SMEs and businesses;
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
- Basic written and spoken English skills are essential ;
- Commitment to humanitarian principles and values;
- Commitment to the organization equal opportunity and gender practices;
- Flexibility under pressure and in response to changing needs;
- Ability to maintain the highest degree of discretion;
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
Desirable
- Experience in training for adults or coaching ;
- Former NGO work experience is highly desired.
Job Description:
Identification of SMEs and implementation of business recovery grants activities
- Identification of SMEs to be involved in the organization’s business recovery grants initiative, according to the agreed selection criteria;
- Perform accurate assessments at the SMEs premises;
- Effectively support in the decision making process for the award of the business recovery grants, liaising with the ERL Officer and the Livelihood Manager;
- Accurately explain to the SMEs owners the purpose of the recovery grant as well as the expenditure it could cover;
- Support the SMEs owners in the identification of strengths and weaknesses of their businesses and in planning the use of their recovery fund;
- Support the SMEs owners in the preparation of costed budget for their business, forecasts of expenditures on a monthly basis;
- Provide Business owners with a Business Skills training in order to improve their entrepreneurial capacity
- Ensure the timely preparation and collection of Payment Request Forms (PRF) and accompanying justification documents for SMEs owners grants;
- Closely monitor the SMEs awarded with the business recovery grant and their progress against the agreed business recovery plan;
- Timely report to the ERL officer any issue or challenge encountered during the implementation of the activities;
Reporting, quality control and monitoring and accountability
- Prepare reports according to agreed timelines on activities undertaken with the SMEs owners;
- Support the organization’s MEAL team, in developing and implementing M&E tools and data collection methods, which contribute to continual learning and program quality, and prepare case studies.
Other:
- Comply with all of Concern’s policies and procedures (P4, finance, logistics, HR, security management etc).
- Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the line manager.
