متطلبات العمل:

  • Bachelor Degree in Agriculture or any other relevant field
  • Experience with agricultural, value chains restoration, community development, cash transfers, and/or other livelihoods interventions.
  • Exposure to northeast Syria programming
  • Understanding of reporting documentation and donor rules and regulations a plus.
  • A minimum 2 Years’ experience in with Local or International NGOs as Assistant of above level.
  • Should have a good understanding of livelihood activities, Cash based and in-kind interventions etc.
  • Fluency in written, spoken Arabic/ Kurdish and good English is advantage
  • Priority will be given to Deir ez Zor candidates
  • An ability to present concise reports, reflecting the problems and possible solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A sound understanding of the importance of gender and participation in humanitarian work
  • An ability to work effectively under stress in emergency situations
  • Good computer program skills (esp. Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Experience with FSL activities implementation, community mobilization and beneficiaries’ registration
  • Experience working on electronic data (e.g using excel sheet on laptop)

الوصف الوظيفي:

The role of the FSL Assistant is to support the implementation of the Livelihood & Resilience Program. S/he will be responsible for community mobilization, field monitoring and data collection at field level. He/she will be reporting to FSL Officer. Under the guidance and direct supervision of FSL Officer, the FSL Assistant will ensure program implementation activities are organized systematically in coordination with community leaders and other counterparts. He/she will collect data related to field assessments, surveys, monitoring and evaluation of projects based on tools and methods developed by program and MEAL staff. FSL assistant will be responsible for organizing community meetings, distribution events, beneficiary registration, beneficiaries’ trainings, verification and prepare and organize beneficiary databases and records. He/she will also prepare field reports capturing distribution progress, outcomes, challenges, lessons of ongoing distributions.

Livelihoods & Resilience programming in NES will include support for agriculture and livestock value chains, Support to productive asset building & protection (agriculture, livestock), income generation activities and rehabilitation of community infrastructure. Program will also focus on cash transfer programs (including cash for work, commodity vouchers as well as cash for specific livelihoods interventions). The program assistant is expected to have technical skills and experience in these types of livelihoods & resilience interventions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Planning and Preparation:
  • Assist to develop project work plans with support of his/her supervisor.
  • Assist supervisor to organize project planning, kick-off and start-up meetings with the project team and partners
  • Facilitate community sensitization and mobilization sessions, meetings and events at field level
  • Conduct field assessments and surveys to design project approaches, target groups, beneficiary selection criteria with technical support of supervisor.
  • Share his/her field experience with supervisor for implementation of project activities.
  • Keep strong coordination with other partners at field level to avoid any duplication.
  • Monitoring and Supervision:
  • Conduct field monitoring visits in coordination with the MEAL staff and collect feedback from beneficiaries and community leaders.
  • Responsible for accuracy of data entry during data collection at field level.
  • Update databases and provide information for assigned projects in line with the MEAL plans designed jointly with the MEAL department.
  • Collection of field information by sharing best practices, lessons learnt, beneficiary interviews, case studies and capturing field photos/videos with a strong guideline from supervisor.
  • Maintain all relevant project documents in electronic and paper files (reports, contracts, agreements, correspondence, meeting notes, training materials, beneficiary lists, selection criteria)
  • Project Implementation:
  • Ensure that work procedures and relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs) are understood and being carried out throughout the implementation.
  • Organize field distribution events, awareness programs, community and stakeholder meetings are organized timely and in line with project work plans.
  • Facilitate trainings, community awareness programs
  • Sharing of daily progress information with supervisor
  • Support FSL officer to review project work plans on a regular basis to ensure implementation is on track with agreed work plans
