Job Requirements:
Education:
- a college certificate “Graduate” in a related field: Social sciences, statistique, Education, etc.
Experience and technical competencies:
- Willingness and ability to perform field work
- At least one year of work experience in community work and/or experience in project implementation, preferably with an NGO
- Able to understand data collection basics.
- Previous experience in working with persons with disabilities as social worker or field monitor
- is desired.
- Ability to work and interact with a diverse people from different ethnicities and backgrounds.
Respect the customs, culture and dignity of human subjects.
- Computer skills( Word and Excel)
Languages:
- Fluency in Arabic
- English is a strong assets
We offer
The organization will offer the successful applicant a until 31st Dec-21 contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance.
Salary and conditions will be according to salary grid. Minimum 791 USD/month + (allowances).
Job Description:
The MEAL Agent will be responsible for monitoring of the organization’s activities in Hassake. The MEAL Agent will be part of a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning team that works to ensure that information collected is used to improve ongoing projects.
HIERARCHICAL RELATIONSHIPS
Line manager: MEAL manager
Position location : HSK governorate
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the overall monitoring of program activities, follow established MEAL work plan through;
- Conducting field monitoring visits FMV on regular basis to the sites/ areas of intervention
- following work plan developed by MEAL manager.
- Follow-up and implement list of questions provided by MEAL manager to conduct field monitoring
- visits using different methods such as observation, interviews with Field staff, beneficiaries or through
- facilitate discussions with group of beneficiaries.
- Submit reports on activities monitoring findings, challenges faced and lessons learned.
- Support in data collection, using mixed approaches (qualitative and quantitative methods)
- Through interviews, observation, focus group discussion, using surveys, checklists and any
- other tools using mobile data collection and/or hard copies.
- Assist in data collection, including satisfaction survey, Knowledge Attitude and Practices survey,
- And other surveys and assessments as needed.
- Ensure the quality of the data collected from the field to be accurate, valid, trustworthy,
- authentic, consistent, and clear without any spelling mistakes.
- Providing support in the implementation of the feedback and response mechanism FRM through
- checking the complaints boxes that are distributed in different locations within Hassake
- governorate during the filed visits.
- Conduct lessons learning exercises with program staff and report to the MEAL manager accordingly
- Support the program staff in raising the awareness of beneficiaries about the feedback and
- Response mechanism through distributing FRM cards.
- Ensure confidentiality of the complaints collected and provide it to the feedback and
- response mechanism focal point on time.
Support survey in the field by collecting quantitative and qualitative data in the field on pre-defined
data collection tools through.
- Attend data collection trainings.
- Develop data collection schedule/ plan for a specific location with MEAL Manager.
- Locate (or select) sample members for data collection.
- Conduct interviews with respondents and record the responses in a complete and correct
- manner.
- Re-visit the respondents in case of incomplete or wrong information received from the field
