Job Requirements:

The position requires significant experience (at least 3-5 years) in program/project management, with a strong preference for experience implementing programs in Syria through local partner organizations. Direct experience with sub-awarding processes with local organizations. Strong understanding of NGO and donor regulations/compliance. Strong writing skills, including experience in writing proposals and donor reports. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels, taking into account cultural and language difficulties. Tact and diplomacy are essential. The ability to work closely in a team, be patient, adaptable, flexible, able to improvise and work in an environment that is often stressful and potentially volatile. Financially literate, ability to manage large budgets, review, forecast and plan expenditure on behalf of a large program team. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to keep track of a large, complex portfolio. Willingness to travel regularly to field offices and program sites throughout NES. Fluent in spoken and written English and Arabic. Kurdish language skills are an asset, in addition to proficiency in the use of computer especially MS Office.

Job Description:

Under the direct supervision of Area Director of Program, the Partnerships Manager will be responsible for support the NES Program to engage proactively in the partnership program cycle management, providing guidance, tools, and strategic vision to what can be accomplished with and through partners. The role will focus on all grants with a partnerships component, while providing support to other program managers and department heads as necessary. The post holder will support the development and implementation of partnerships within the NES Social Cohesion, Protection, Emergency, WASH and Livelihoods programs. Utilizing and building on existing tools and approaches, the post holder will support in identifying and developing partnership opportunities and integrating lessons learned from other organization’s programs.
