Job Requirements:

  • University degree in Social Sciences or • University Education with focus on IT, Informatics engineering, information systems, Software engineering, Computer science, or any related fields.
  • Ability to use Microsoft office programs, especially Excel, Access and word.
  • Experience in using digital data collection tools (Informbuilder, Kobo, ODK)
  • Experience in Database management systems (SQL server, Oracle, MySQL….etc.) and Structured Query Language (SQL) is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in programming Language (C#, JavaScript….etc.) is highly advantageous.
  • Previous Experience in humanitarian organization, with strong practical understanding of programme implementation or M&E.
  • English and Arabic Languages.
  • Willingness to be flexible and work long hours when required.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to remain calm and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to beneficiary accountability and humanitarian ethics.

           

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Information Management Officer and in coordination with  information management staff, the information Management Assistant will be responsible for supporting the information management of all projects implemented by Concern in Syria (Food security and emergency activities, protection (CFS centers and Case management, cash for protection and other protection activities), Livelihoods activities, Education, WASH activities and M&E, The main duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing information relating to all Concern projects in Syria; including supporting the preparation of assessment data, distribution lists, activity tracking sheets, voucher redemption data etc.
  • Developing high quality assessment, Monitoring, Evaluation and program implementation tools prioritizing functionality for program implementation teams in Syria using Iformbuilder and Zoho as required.
  • Keeping track of the monitoring, information management and assessment needs of Syria programs, ensuring data collected is comprehensive and relevant.
  • Ensuring cleaning and analysis of all data received regarding Syria programs, continuously strengthening an understanding of the programme use of data.
  • Continuous improvement of technological use in programme implementation designed to improve quality of programmes.
  • Liaise and coordinate with third party information management staff involved in the implementation of projects, including supporting Concern’s partner organizations to strengthen their information management capacity.
  • Develop and update a comprehensive archive of cleaned database, distribution records, analysis methodologies and lessons learned.
  • Train data collection teams on technical and conceptual issues to ensure the data collection is done in the correct way, of high quality and representative of what it was intended to measure.
  • To Support all departments and the field team on data management and collection as required
  • To work as part of a team, providing support where necessary in other administrative or MEAL tasks.
  • To adhere to the standards of conduct outlined in the Programme Participant Protection Policy (P4) and Concern Code of Conduct (CCoC) and all its associated policies.
