Job Requirements:

  • Institute/Bachelor/ University Degree in Business Management or any other relevant field, and any scientific certificate, 1-2 years’ experience in relevant sector in vocational training
  • Previous experience working with or managing a business or enterprise related projects
  • Desired:
  • Experience in working in multi-cultural environments
  • Exposure to northeast Syria programming a plus
  • A Minimum 1 years’ experience in relevant sector with a local or International NGO.
  • Fluency in written, spoken in local language.
  • An ability to present concise reports, reflecting the problems and possible solutions
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A sound understanding of the importance of gender and participation in humanitarian work
  • An ability to work effectively under stress in emergency situations
  • Good computer program skills (esp. Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Practical experience in facilitating training sessions
  • Practical experience in women mobilization and sensitization

Job Description:

The role of the FSL worker (vocational Training) is to support the implementation of the Livelihood & Resilience Program. S/he will be responsible for community mobilization, field monitoring and data collection at field level. He/she will be reporting to FSL Officer. Under the guidance and direct supervision of FSL Officer, the FSL worker will ensure program implementation activities are organized systematically in coordination with community leaders and other counterparts. He/she will collect data related to field assessments, surveys, monitoring and evaluation of the org projects based on tools and methods developed by the org program and MEAL staff. FSL Worker will be responsible for organizing community meetings, distribution events, beneficiary registration, beneficiaries’ trainings, verification and prepare and organize beneficiary databases and records. He/she will also prepare field reports capturing distribution progress, outcomes, challenges, lessons of ongoing distributions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate community mobilization and sensitization sessions, meetings and events at field level with the support.
  • Contribute in the planning process of beneficiaries’ identification, registration and verification activities.
  • Data collection through conducting assessments and surveys to design project approaches, address local community needs with the technical support of line manager.
  • Ensure to develop a clear understanding on project activities (especially SME and Vocational training activities) through support of FSL officer/ Assistant.
  • Responsible for the implementation of SME and vocational training activities to ensure that the relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs) are understood and being carried out throughout the implementation.
  • Facilitate to organize and conduct field events, vocational Training information sessions, awareness sessions, community and stakeholder meetings are organized timely and in line with project work plans.
  • Conduct field level discussion and orientation among women community to orient them about project approaches, modalities.
  • Ensure women participation in FSL activities (especially SME and Vocational training activities).
  • successful completion of beneficiaries identification, registration and verification process as per SOPs.
  • Sharing of daily progress report with supervisor.
  • Facilitate the cash/ in-kind distribution at field level that women project participants should feel safe, secure and confident.
  • Ensure coordination with S&S and to share field related information on an immediate basis.
  • Responsible for Filing, documentation and data archiving
  • Conduct a regular follow-up visits to SME and Vocational training project participants for data collection to understand the impact of the activities
  • Responsible for accuracy of data entry during data collection at field level.
  • Collection of field information by sharing best practices, lessons learnt, beneficiary interviews, case studies and capturing field photos/videos with a strong guideline from supervisor.
  • Conduct field monitoring and post-activity follow up.
